Light to moderate rain or thunder showers with intense lightning flashes and temporary gusty or squally wind is likely to occur at many places over the country, said a Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) bulletin valid for 24 hours commencing 9am on Monday.”Light to moderate rain or thunder showers with intense lightning flashes and temporary gusty or squally wind is likely to occur many places over Rangpur, Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions, at a few places over Chattogram division and at one or two places over Rajshahi and Dhaka divisions with moderately heavy to heavy falls at places over northern part of the country,” it added, reports BSS. Weather may remain mainly dry with partly cloudy sky elsewhere over the country.
However, the day temperature may rise slightly and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country, said the bulletin.
Country’s maximum temperature on Sunday was recorded 35.5 degrees Celsius jointly at Madaripur, Rajshahi, Ishurdi and Khulna, while the minimum temperature on Monday was recorded 22.0 degrees Celsius jointly at Rangpur and Sayedpur.The highest rainfall in the last 24 hours till 6am on Monday was recorded 92 mm at Tetulia.
