The 8th founding anniversary of the Ministry of Railways and Railway Service Week will be observed from today (December 4).
The Railway Service Week will begin on December 4 and conclude on December 11, said a press release.
On the occasion of founding anniversary and service week, the Railway Ministry and Bangladesh Railway have adopted some work plans.
It includes formation of ten taskforces in coordination with the Railway Ministry and railway officials, monitoring schedules of trains and oversee railway platforms and over bridges, the release added.
On this occasion, medical services will be provided to the passengers at the stations adjacent to the Railway Hospitals.
The concerned officials will provide necessary directives to the taskforces to ensure better services to passengers, it added.
During the service week, the task forces’ officers will also take necessary steps to prevent the black marketing of tickets.
In this regard, a discussion meeting will be held at Rail Bhavan.
