Bangladesh Railway Eastern Zone authority formed 3- member two inquiry committees headed by Chief Mechanical Engineer another committee was formed headed by Divisional chief Engineer -1 on the basis of accident of furnace oil laden rail wagon consist of 3 rail wagon and Rail Engine met accident on 19-th June on Chittagong – Dhohazari Rail line in Boalkhali Upazilla. Three Tank Wagon and Engine of the oil laden rail fall in the cannel of Boalkhali.
A high power representative from railway east supervised the salvage work of wagon accident side . Mentionable that the furnace oil was supply for the power plant.
The Railway authority also temporarily suspended two engineers for this accident and local administration has engaged about 100 workers to collect the scattered spilled oil from the cannel local sources said that they are working in exchange of good wages.
The repairing works of damaged Bridge was completed on 24th June and the authority try to ply the rail in this line with in possible time said additional chief engineer Mohammed Ramjan Ali when conducted to the reporter. He also told that the authority also try to maintain the environment free from pollutions with the help of concern authority.
