Chittagong Bureau :
The rail communication between Chittagong and Dhaka remain suspended for about two hours following the derail of engine of Mohanagar Gudhuli. The incident happened in front of loco shed of Pahartali railway workshop in Chittagong at about 7 am.
Godhuli Expess was coming from Dhaka. Following the derailment of the rail engine, Dhaka bound Subarna Express, Mohanagar Pravati, Sylhet bound Paharika Express could not leave Chittagong station in schedule time and departed the station after two hours late. On the other hand, Chittagong bound Turna Nishita, Sylhet Udayan express, Jalalabad express and Chittagong Mail could not reach in due time at Chittagong station.
These trains waited in different local stations till the rescue of the rail engine. Chittagong railway station Manager sources said this unwanted accident occurred following the wrong signal while crossing the track junction.
After remove the engine from track by rescue train after one and half hour, sources said.
