Raihan Al Mogni was elected General Secretary of the Bangladesh Sports Journalists Association (BSJA) for the next two years at the Annual General Meeting and election held at the association office in the Bangabandhu National Stadium here on Saturday.
Sayeed Mohammad Pitu of the Daily Independent was elected Joint-Secretary of the association.
Six elected Executive Committee Members are: Arif Chowdhury (Channel i), Jotirmoy Mondal (Jugantor) Subrata Kumar Saha (NTV), Mazhar Uddin Ami (Daily Star), Arafat Zubair (Sangbad), Shamsur Rahman Arefin (Ekattor TV).
Earlier, Sports Editor of the Dainik Ittefaq Motahar Hossain Masum was elected President while Abu Sadat (Maasranga TV) Treasurer and Arifur Rahman Babu (Jagonews24.com), Tareq Mahmud Moni (Prothom Alo) and Rakibul Hasan (Maasranga TV) were elected Vice-Presidents of BSJA unopposed.
