Raids in the residential hotels by the law enforcing members against the anti-social activities are being launched in the port city recently. This is first time that police conducted raid in the 4-star hotel on Thursday night. Dectective Police of CMP conducted raid in Hotel Agrabad at about 10 pm on Thursday night and rounded up about 97 male and females from a DJ Party function .Police also recovered 10 bottles whisky and 23 bottles of beers from the hotel.
Detective police sub inspector Santosh Chakma told that these detained male and females were engaged in unsocial activities inside the hotel . The detained consists of 34 women and 62 males . The detained alongwith the seized wine have been handed over to Double Mooring thana police immediate after arrest. Mentionable that following the joining of new police commissioner Abdul Jalil Mondol , the raid against the unsocial activities in the residential hotels is being conducted , sources said.
