Soccer Club, Feni and Rahmatganj Muslim and Friends Society split point whether match ended in a 1-1 goal draw in the JB Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) football held on Wednesday at Bangabandhu
National Stadium.
In the day’s match Rahmatganj went ahead in the 25th minute while forward Mehbub Hasan Nayan sent the ball home with a cool headed finish after Congolese forward Siyo Zunapiyo paved the way for Nayan with a nice square pass from the top of the box (1-0).
Soccer’s first notable attack was carved in the 52nd minute when midfielder Shahran Hawladar saw his attempt from the middle of the box deflect off the feet of Nigerian defender Eleta Benjamin for a cost of corner.
The traditional old Dhaka ‘outfit’ Rahmatganj’s Congolese forward Siyo Zunapio got marching order in the 86th minute for second bookable offence.
However, Chomrin Rakhain, the Feni Soccer midfielder, restored the parity in the 88th minute from a penalty. Soccer defender M HelalAA was brought down in the box by Rahmatganj defender Asif Hasan Rimon and referee instantly whistle for the spot kick. Chowmrin made no mistake to convert the spot kick (1-1).
With e day’s feat, Rahmatganj now have 13 points from seven matches while Soccer Cub bagged nine points playing the same number of outings.
