Former Bangladeshi cricketer and spin legend Mohammad Rafique has joined the Bangladesh Cricket Board’s (BCB) High Performance (HP) unit as a spin consultant.
Rafique joined the HP unit at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium, Mirpur on Sunday. After taking the charge, the legendary spinner said local coaching staff are better than the foreigners for working with the young cricketers.
Noting that he is well aware of his responsibility, Rafique said, “I’ve taken it as a challenge. In future, I want to create some talented spinners like Shakib and Saqlain who could bring glory for the country.”
