Rafatullah sets up victory for Prime Bank in Premier Cricket

Steered by a brilliant ton by Pakistani recruit Rafatullah Mohmand Prime Bank Cricket Club registered a 66-run victory over Legends of Rupganj in the fifth round of Dhaka Premier Division Cricket League held on Saturday at BKSP ground no 4 in Savar.
Rafatullah hammered 10 boundaries and six over boundaries during his 125-ball off 128 to guide Prime Bank a challenging total of 284 for 6 from their allotted 50 overs, after they opted to bat first.
Asif Ahmed (47), Salman Hossain (33 n.o) and Zakir Hossain (26) were the other notable scorers for Prime Bank.
M Sharif was the most successful bowler as he grabbed three Prime Bank’s wickets conceding 42 runs.
In reply, Rupganj found the chase stiff and finally dismissed at 218 in 49.2 overs, despite a fighting show by Naeem Islam (95).
Mosharraf Hossain (42) M Sharif (34) got off a good start but could not convert those into a big knock in the face of tight bowling display by the Prime Bank bowlers.
Al Amin Hossain caused the major damage as he grabbed five Rupganj’s wickets conceding 49 runs while Nazmul Islam and Nahidul Islam finished two wickets each. Rafatullah Mohmand of Prime Bank was named the player of the match for his impressive batting performance.
