Radio Today clinched title of the Dhaka Reporters Unity (DRU) Media Cup Volleyball beating GTV by 25-19 and 25-18 points in the final held on Saturday at national volleyball stadium in the city.
Awami League Youth and Sports Affairs Secretary Harunur Rashid was the chief guest in the final and distributed the prizes among the winners.
Bangladesh Olympic Association deputy secretary generals Ashikur Rahman Miku and Asaduzzaman Kohinor, Walton Group operative director FM Iqbal Bin Anwar, DRU president Sakhawat Hossain Badsha, DRU general secretary Morsalin Nomani and DRU sports secretary Mujibur Rahman were, among others, present on the occasion.
The champion team received Taka 30,000 while the runners-up team got Taka 20,000 as prize money.
Earlier, on way to the final on Thursday last, Radio Today beat Nayadiganta 25-18 and 25-17 points in the first semi-final while GTV defeated BD News24.com by 25-20 and 25-18 points in the second semis.
