The Rapid Action Battalion has organized a three-day programme to mark its 10th anniversary underway from Tuesday.
Mokhlesur Rahman, Director General (DG) of RAB, inaugurated the programme, hoisting the national flag at its headquarters, Uttara, Dhaka at 8:00am on the day.
‘As an elite force, RAB should be more effective and responsible while doing its duties regardless of state of affairs,’ said the RAB DG.
The DG suggested the RAB personnel to maintain honesty which they proved in the past and must not deviate from duties either
under pressure or greediness.
Mokhlesur Rahman handed recognitions of honour to the families of the 14 RAB members, who died while performing professional duty in past nine years.
The director general assured the RAB personnel of staying with them. The RAB started its journey on March 26, 2004 with the motto ‘Bangladesh Amar Ohonkar’ (Bangladesh is my pride).
