A two-day “Rabindra Utshab” (Rabindra Festival) ended at the National Museum in the city on Wednesday. Rabindra Academy and Bangladesh National Museum jointly organised the festival.
Rabindra Sangeet singer Fahmida Khatun and writer Ahmed Rafiq were conferred with honorary award at the concluding ceremony on Wednesday night,” Rabindra Academy General Secretary Bulbul Mahalanibash told media on Thursday. National Professor Anisuzzaman inaugurated the festival on Tuesday while Prime Minister’s International Affairs Adviser Dr Gowher Rizvi spoke at the inaugural session as the chief guest.
Chaired by Rabindra Academy President Azizur Rahaman Aziz, the inaugural session of the festival was also addressed by Dhaka University (DU) Pro-Vice-Chancellor Prof Muhammad Samad.
Seminar, discussion, recitation and cultural shows were arranged during the two-day festival.
