Like previous years Channel i will organise a daylong Tagore fair titled AB Bank-Channel i Rabindra Mela on May 8, Baishakh 25 on the Channel i premises in the city’s Tejgaon area.
This year noted theatre personality Ataur Rahman will get special honour at Rabindra Mela 2015.
This was announced at a press conference held at Channel i office yesterday where Managing Director of Impress Telefilm Ltd and Channel i Faridur Reza Sagor, Managing Director of AB Bank Ltd Shamim Ahmed Chowdhury, Director General of Bangla Academy Shamsuzzaman Khan and noted Tagore artiste Rezwana Chowdhury Bonnya spoke on the occasion. Rabindra Mela will begin at 10:00am. A total of 25 stalls will take place in the fair, which focus on Rabindranath Tagore’s lifestyle and activities, said the organisers.
