Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) resumed patrolling on city’s streets on Wednesday to maintain the law-and-order during the holy month of Ramadan.
RAB Legal and Media Wing Director Major Habibur Rahman confirmed the news and said that the RAB personnel would maintain law and order during the month of holy Ramadan and the Eid shopping, as per decision of the government.
Recently, RAB reduced their patrolling in the city due to the involvement of some of the members of the elite force in the sensational seven-murder at Narayanganj.
State Minister for Home Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal said the Rapid Action Battalion would be used for maintaining law and order during the month of holy month and the Eid shopping. Earlier, The RAB authority announced that the elite force would not patrol city streets and carry out duties at check posts anymore.
