The left hand of a member of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) was blown off while he was disposing of a bomb at Abhaynagar Police Station in the district.
Shahidul Islam, Corporal of RAB-6, was admitted to Combined Military Hospital (CMH).
Officer-in-charge of Abhaynagar Police Station Md Tajul Islam said a bomb went off when a four-member RAB team was disposing of seven bombs around 10:45 am, blowing away Shahidul’s left hand.
