A Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) member was killed as a private car rammed his motorcycle in Old Airport area of the city on Thursday noon.
The deceased was identified as M Uchchhel Alam, 33, son of M Javed Ali of Basuniapara village in Sadar upazila of Panchagarh district.
The private car skidded off the road and crashed into the motorbike of the Rab men on the other side of the road on the west side of Bangladesh Air Force’s ‘Bashar Base around 12:10pm after its driver lost
control over the steering and hit the road island, leaving him injured.
He was whisked off to the Combined Military Hospital where on-duty doctors declared him dead around 12:30pm.
