Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) Headquarters yesterday expressed concern over the baseless reports by a section of media involving the RAB in the seven people kidnapping and killing incident in Narayanganj.The RAB Headquarters expressed the concern in a statement yesterday signed by its Director (Legal and Media Wing) ATM Habibur Rahman on behalf of the RAB Director General.The statement said a number of investigation teams have been working to find out the motive behind the seven people kidnapping and killing.The teams are working to check whether the RAB personnel are involved or not, it said.In this situation, said the statement, such intentional and baseless reports may influence the investigation into the incidents. The RAB apprehended that such baseless reports will hinder the investigation process and said such reports may hide the perpetrators of the incidents.The law enforcement agency also apprehended that if chaos is created in the law enforcement agency as a result of such reports, it may encourage militancy, the statement added.
