Members of elite force Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) conducted a drive again at Satchhari jungles along the Indian border in Chunarughat upazila on Sunday to recover arms and ammunition.
However, no arms and ammunition could be recovered during the raid that lasted for several hours.
Locals said, a team of around 50 members of RAB headquarters and Srimangal camp took position in the bordering jungle at around 6 am.
They conducted a drive at the Tipra Palli at around 10am. They dug earth on the veranda of the house of headman Chitta Ranjan Dev Barman’s brother Ranjit Dev Barman.
