Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Commissioner Md Shafiqul Islam and Director General (DG) of Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) Chowdhury Abdullah Al Mamun have been promoted to rank of grade-1.
The promotion was announced through a notification signed by Dhananjay Kumar Dash, Deputy Secretary of Police-1 section of the Public Security Division under the Home Ministry on Monday. The notification said, approval has been granted for temporary creation in the revenue department of two supernumerary positions of grade-1 ( (in case of vacancy due to retirement, removal or any other reason) ) against grade-2 Additional Inspector General of Police BCS (Police ) Cadre.
