RAB DG asks outsiders to leave city ahead of polls

Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) Director General (DG) Benazir Ahmed on Thursday asked the outsiders to leave Dhaka immediately for the sake of holding a free and fair Dhaka city polls.
RAB Director General Benazir Ahmed said, “Many miscreants and identified criminals from outside took shelter in Dhaka ahead of city corporation polls. They are asked to leave Dhaka for the sake

of holding a free and fair polls to be held on February 1.”
He also requested people not to enter the capital city from outside for next two days.
RAB DG said this in press briefing at the media centre in the capital’s Kawran Bazar on Thursday afternoon.
He said, “We have information that outsiders are planning to create violence through subversive activities at different places in Dhaka on election day. So, city dwellers are requested to bring photo-attached ID card for the day to help identifying criminals within short time. Because, law enforcers will challenge suspected individuals and search them.”
