Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) carried out drives in separate places of Chittagong and detained five suspected drug peddlers on Sunday .
The detainees are-Abir Hossain, 25, Sabbir, 22, Md Tanjil, 19, Md Helal, 19, and Md Akmat Ullah, 15.
RAB-7 Senior Assistant Superintendent of Police Mimtanur Rahman confirmed the matter to media yesterday..The three persons were nabbed from Jorarganj area of Mirsarai and 2 from DT Road of the city.
A truck was seized and some 19,800 pieces of Yaba pills were recovered from three of the detainees of jorargonj.
In another ra id in DT Road, Akmat and Helal were rounded up and according to their confessions, 60 thousand pieces of yaba alongwith a mini truck was seized from their possessions.
