Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) detained 10 traders and seized 883 mobile phones from their possession at Sonargaon upazila in Narayanganj district on Sunday morning.
On information, a team of RAB-10 conducted a drive at Rupali Market in Kanchpur area in the morning and detained them with the mobile phones from different shops.
It was learnt that the arrested traders had been buying and selling mobile phones in different shops of the market for a long time.
Later, they were handed over to Sonargaon police after filing of a case by nayek subedar Md Momen Khan of RAB-10.
Sonargaon Police Station officer in-charge (OC) Md Rafiqul Islam confirmed the matter.
