The family of a Narayanganj businessman has alleged that a group of people with the help of some Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) men abducted him from old Dhaka on April 9.
Rahmatullah Sentu was dragged by about eight/ 10 persons in the morning hours on the day when he was coming out of a lawyer’s chamber on April 9, Lovely Akhtar, Sentu’s wife, said at a press conference at Jatiya Press Club on Thursday.

“The policemen, after talking to those who were taking Sentu, informed me that they introduced themselves as members of RAB-10,” she said.
At one point, three RAB men in uniform appeared at the scene and dispersed the locals, so that the microbus could go, she said.
Sentu’s wife said she went to the RAB-10 headquarters to seek information about her husband. But RAB said that they did not pick up Sentu, Lovely said. She filed an abduction case with Kotwali Police Station on April 16 accusing some unidentified persons for the abduction.
RAB-10 Commanding Officer Lt Col Khandaker Golam Sarowar told the media, “We have not received any written complaint in this regard. We will look into the matter if there is any written complain.”
