The elite force Rapid Action Battalion (RAB-11) arrested four members of a fraudulent gang raiding the National Computer store of Metropolitan Shopping Plaza of Gulshan 2 in the capital on Tuesday night.
The arrested are identified as Md. Anisur Rahman (32), Md. Zahirul Islam (23), Md. Shamsul Huda Nanai (53), and Md. Hannan Emon (32).
During drive, fake employment letters, seals, computers, printers and a pen drive were seized from the spot.
Senior Assistant Superintendent of Police
(RAB-11) Md Suminur Rahman confirmed this information in a press release on Wednesday morning.
The ring has long been accused of cheating the general people in the name of providing jobs in the ministries and departments through enticing various advertisements in different newspapers, leaflets and online platform, senior ASP added.
The arrested gang members confessed to the RAB about their misdeeds.
Preparations are underway to file a case against them at Gulshan police station, The RAB officials also said.
