The Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) CPC-3, led by Manikganj Company Commander Lieutenant Commander Arif Hossain, arrested three persons from Mitra bus stand on the basis of secret information.
The detainees were identified as Mohammad Kausar Dewan, 25, son of Abdul Karim of Chowkighata area, Tamim Hossain, 23, and Mohammad Dalim Biswas, 35, son of Ansar Uddin Biswas of the same area. Two large knives, one small knife, four rods, one wooden hockey stick, three mobile sets worth Tk 16,556 and a white high heels micro were recovered from them.
The interrogation revealed that the detainees had been involved in terrorist activities for a long time.
The accused has been involved in terrorist activities including extortion of cash from people by using local weapons in Manikganj Sadar Thana area and surrounding areas at different times.
The process of filing regular cases against the accused in the concerned police station is continuing.
