Members of the Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested three drug traders with 396 bottles of Phensidyl in a drive in city gate area of the Dhaka-Chittagong highway under Akbar Shah Thana in Chittagong on Friday morning. The RAB team also detained a Dhaka-bound private car which was carrying the drug.
The drug traders were identified as Akbar Hossain, 24, Mohammad Kawser, 21 and Nurul Amin, 25. Based on secret information, a team of RAB-7 raided the area at 5am on the day and arrested them with the Phensidyl, a RAB press release said.
The arrested were handed over to the police.A case filed with Akbar Shah Thana in this connection.
