The BNP on Thursday said that the abolishment of the quota system was a trick of the Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
“There is a trick behind the Prime Minister’s announcement of abolishing the quota system in the government jobs as the demands of the agitators were not evaluated,” said BNP Senior Joint-Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi in a press briefing at the party’s Nayapaltan central office.
Rizvi claimed the Prime Minister has frustrated the nation by cancelling the qouta system.

Sheikh Hasina’s Wednesday’s announcement in the Parliament where she said there would be no quota system for government jobs.
Rizvi claimed that the of cancellation of quota system was contradictory to the Constitution.
“The government has not accepted the students’ demand honestly. They take the decision harshly after getting angry with the demonstrators,” he said.
BNP central leader Abdus Salam, Abul Khair Bhuiyan, Abdus Salam Azad, Selimuzzaman Selim and Taiful Islam Tipu, among others, were present.
