The Qulkhwani of Jahanara Begum, mother of Awami League law secretary and former law minister Advocate Abdul Matin Khasru, MP, was held at her village home in Comilla district after Asr prayers yesterday.
The Qulkhwani was held at central Jame Mosque and playground at her Mirpur village home under Brahmanpara upazila of the district, a fellow member of Abdul Matin Khasru Associates, a law firm, Advocate Zahidul Alam Zahid told.
All relatives, colleagues and admirers of the deceased joined the programme and prayed for the salvation of the departed soul.
Jahanara Begum died of old-age complications on July 9 at her Comilla town residence at the age of 92.
