The Qulkhwani of leading geologist and former Director General of Geological Survey of Bangladesh (GSB) MA Zaher will be held today after Asr prayers at Gulbagh Jame Mosque near his residence.
He died on Sunday night due to old age complications at the age of 85 at his residence leaving behind his wife, three sons, three daughters and a host of admirers to mourn his death.
The geologist earned repute for him and the country particularly through his discovery of a mineral which the International Mineralogical Association (IMA) named after him as “Zaherite” in 1977.
Relatives and admirers of the deceased are requested to attend the Qulkhwani and pray for the salvation of the departed soul.
