Queen’s Cup Siddikur slips to joint 14th after 3rd round

Bangladesh golfer Siddikur Rahman slipped to joint 14th from 9th in the US$500,000 Queen’s Cup after the 3rd round at Santiburi Samui Country Club ground in Thailand on Saturday.
Siddikur aggregated 5-under-par 208 and stayed six shots behind the leader Nicholas Fung of Malaysia.
Siddikur who traded a worse double bogey in the 7th hole of the 1st round, saw another double bogey in the same hole of the 3rd round. Beside a double bogey, he birdied five against four dismal bogies to score one-over-par 72 in the 3rd round.
The two times Asian Tour winner started the day with a bogy in the 1st hole, back with two successive birdies to put the 5th and 6th hole before the a double bogey in the 7th hole and finished the 1st 9 with another bogey in the end.
He traded three consecutive birdies to put 15th, 16th and 17th holes against two bogies in the 11th and 18th to finish the last 9.
Earlier, he carded 3-under-par 68 each in the 1st and 2nd rounds to make the cut in the event smartly.
