Quality of education in Bangladesh lauded

Director General of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) Irina Bokova said the quality of education in Bangladesh is gradually improving.
UNESCO chief made this remark on Monday while she called on education minister Nurul Islam Nahid at his secretariat office here.
Expressing her satisfaction over the quality of education in Bangladesh, UNESCO chief said “the least developed countries across the world used to follow the instance of Bangladesh for improving their quality of education and the education quality of Bangladesh should be improved like world class standard.”
Presenting the improvement and development of the education sector of Bangladesh for the last six and a half years, the education minister said “we have to go far ahead with the education-the education would eliminate our poverty.”
The minister also hoped continuous cooperation from the UNESCO for development of the education sector.
Meanwhile, the UNESCO chief also has given assurance for providing cooperation in education sector of Bangladesh. Education Secretary Dr Mohammad Sadique was present during this time.
