Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid on Thursday said government’s top priority is to ensure quality education and build the new generation as worthy citizens having integrity, moral values and patriotism.
“Our new generation must be built as good human beings as they’ll lead the country in all the sectors and build modern Bangladesh,” he said while addressing freshers’ reception and prize giving ceremony of Milestone College in Uttara.
The minister also said some 354,290,162 textbooks will be distributed among the students free of cost in the academic year of 2018.
Dhaka Education Board Chairman Prof Mahbubur Rahman, Milestone College Principal Prof Shahidul Islam and its Adviser Col (retd) Nurun Nabi also spoke on the occasion
