Vice Chancellor of the Exim Bank Agriculture University, Bangladesh (EBAUB) Dr Abdul Mannan Akanda said, quality education is a must for job.
He said this while exchanging opinion with the media workers on Thursday at the conference room of the university at Boro Indara Square in Chapainawabganj town.
The VC said, this university has taken initiatives to ensure quality education at the international standard. In stead of making education commercial this university will give priority to the poor but brilliant students, children of the freedom fighters and the indigenous children. Our goal is to build up international standard students in the Barind areas like Chapainawabganj, Rajshahi, Naogaon and Natore.
He added that this first private Agriculture University of the country started with 42 disciplines including Agriculture, Economics, Fishery, Veterinary Science, Law and Commerce faculties. Its own campus with a medical centre would be constructed at the Barind area on 1,200 bighas of land.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina inaugurated the university on October 13, 2013.
During the opinion exchanging, deputy registrar of the university Mokbul Hossain, senior officer Corporate Affairs Latiful Mithu and teachers and employees were present.
