Qualifying round of Asia Cup T20 begins today

The qualifying round of Asia Cup Twenty20 begins today at the Khan Shaheb Osman Ali Stadium in Fatullah. Afghanistan will face United Arab Emirates in the day’ first match at 3.00 pm, while Hong Kong will meet Oman in the day’s second match at 7.30 pm.
A total of four teams will take part in the qualifying round of the Asia Cup T20. Of them, top one team will qualify for the final round of the Asia Cup, the most prestigious cricket meet of Asia.
It is noteworthy that all the four teams- Afghanistan, United Arab Emirates, Hong Kong and Oman reached in the city to participate in the qualifying round.
Hosts Bangladesh, India, Pakistan and Sri Lanka will straightly compete in the gala extravaganza.
The final round will start from February 24. Bangladesh will face India in the opening match of the final round at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium (SBNCS) in Mirpur. The match will begin at 7.30 pm. Private satellite channel will telecast the match live from the venue.
The final round will be held on single league basis. Top two teams will get the tickets of the final.
The final will be held at the SBNCS on March 6. The title-deciding match will kick-off at 7.30 pm.
