Quader to be shifted to cabin today

General Secretary of Awami League and Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader will be shifted to the hospital cabin today (Monday).
Doctors have taken decision of shifting him as his condition had improved a lot, said, Director of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University Professor Abu Naser Rizvi in Singapore, quoting Dr Sebastian Kumar Swami.
“Dr Sebastian Kumar Swami, Cardiothoracic Surgeon of Mount Elizabeth Hospital told us that his condition was stable,” Dr Rizvi said.

Quader is now talking normally with family members and physicians. Quader’s heart function, blood pressure, infections and kidney function are all under control, said doctors of Mount Elizabeth Hospital.
Obaidul Quader, 67, has been suffering from heart disease and also chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.
The Minister’s wife Ishratunnesa Quader brought him to the BSMMU in a critical condition early on March 3 after he fell ill. Quader had three arterial blocks, one of which was removed. He was flown to the Mount Elizabeth Hospital in Singapore by air-ambulance on March 4 after he appeared stable to travel.
A medical panel was formed for his treatment upon the Minister’s arrival at Mount Elizabeth Hospital.
Quader’s wife Ishratunnesa and younger brother Abdul Quader Mirza, Mayor of the Bashurhat Municipal Corporation are accompanying him to Singapore.
