UNB, Dhaka :
Terming BNP’s senior vice-chairman Tarique Rahman a coward, Communications Minister Obaidul Quader on Monday urged him to return home to face Awami League politically.
“He (Tarique) yells from London. If he has the enough courage then he should return to Dhaka and face Awami League politically,” he said.
The minister said this while addressing a discussion organised by Bangladesh Chhatra League Dhaka University
unit at Teacher-Student Centre (TSC) on the campus marking the 39th death anniversary of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
Obaidul Quader, also the presidium member of the ruling Awami League, said BNP has turned crazy having failed to return to power. “BNP is the party of roars but, you know, a barking dog hardly bites.”
The minister observed that Khaleda Zia rubbed salts to wounds by celebrating her birthday on August 15. “There’ll be no dialogue with those who celebrate birthday on National Mourning Day,” he said.
