Road Transport and Bridges Minister and Ruling Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader on Friday said that the BNP may face deep political crisis after the delivery of judgment in the August 21 grenade attack case.
He said it while talking to the journalists after placing wreath at the grave of AL leader Ivy Rahman at Banani on the occasion of her death anniversary.
The AL leader said that the then BNP government
neither allowed FBI nor the Scotland Yard to investigate the attack.
In reply to another query, the minister alleged that BNP created a chaotic situation before the previous election, but they were unsuccessful.
“The law enforcers and Awami League men will remain alert to keep the situation normal. If anyone tries to foil the next election, people will thwart it,” he said.
The minister said the 21 August grenade attack targeted our leader Sheikh Hasina. But Allah saved her.
AL central leader Jahangir Kabir Nanak, AKM Enamul Haque Shamim and Abdus Sabur, among others, were present.
