Communications Minister Obaidul Quader instructed the concerned authorities to stop digging of the roads to ease the traffic congestion and to facilitate homebound passengers ahead of the holy Eid-ul-Fitr. He also ordered to take immediate measures to flash out rain water from adjacent roads of the under construction Moghbazar Flyover.The minister gave the directives on Saturday when he himself visited the flyover site to see the progress of the transport management and traffic jam.Replying to a query, he said, “Nowadays traffic jam is a regular problem. Collective efforts are needed to be more strengthened to address the issue correctly.”Noted journalist and columnist Syed Abul Maksud and officers of BRTA, Dhaka City Corporation (North and South) and traffic police were present at that time.
