Road, Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader on Friday suggested DSCC Mayor and Health Minister to concentrate to fight the dengue fever and mosquitoes instead of delivering speech.
He gave the suggestion at a press conference in the Awami League (AL) President Sheikh Hasina’s political office in the capital’s Dhanmondi area.
The Awami Leaague General Secretary said, “Dengue situation in the country has become alarming. Therefore, all have to be aware of this. There is no scope to underestimate
dengue attack.” He also urged the authorities concerned to take hurried measures to combat Aedes aegypti mosquito, the carrier of dengue.
Earlier, yesterday, Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) Mayor Sayeed Khokon said child-lifting like rumours are being spread about dengue also.
