Inter-area Qirat and Azan competition-2017 of Bangladesh Army concluded after Juma prayers at ADA Brigade Mosque in Mirpur Cantonment in the city on Friday.
The competition was held with an overall supervision of 6 independent ADA brigade, an ISPR press release said.
Comilla area team became champion in the competition while Ghatail area team became runner-up.
Sergeant Md Habibur Rahman won first prize in Qirat competition while Sergeant Md Abul Khayer got first prize in Azan competition.
Director General Medical Service (DGMS) Major General SM Motahar Hossain distributed prizes among the winners at a function as the chief guest.
Senior Officials of Bangladesh Army, among others, were present at the function.
