The Qatar Football Association (QFA) confirmed the match venue and the starting time of FIFA World Cup Qualifiers 2022 and AFC Asian Cup Qualifiers 2023 match between Bangladesh and Qatar.
The match will be held at Abdullah Bin Khalifa Stadium in Doha on December 4. The match kicks-off at 7.00pm (Qatar time).
The Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) wants that Bangladesh team will play two practice matches against the teams of top competition (Stars League) of Qatar. But Qatar Football Association has managed two teams of Second Division Football League of Qatar for warm-up matches against Bangladesh. The matches will be held on November 25 and November 28.
It may be mentioned that Bangladesh team left the city for Qatar on November 19 to play the FIFA World Cup Qualifiers 2022 and AFC Asian Cup Qualifiers 2023 match against the hosts.
Before taking part in the Qualifiers match against the hosts Bangladesh played two FIFA International Friendly matches against Nepal at the Bangabandhu National Stadium. Bangladesh defeated Nepal by two goals to nil in the first match on November 13 and played a goalless draw with Nepal in the second match on November 17.
Qatar Football Association will announce the names of two teams, which will play practice matches against Bangladesh. The warm-up matches will be held at the Aspire Academy of Qatar.
All the members of Bangladesh team again underwent Covid-19 test last morning for the first practice session in Qatar, according to a message received here from BFF on Saturday.
The booters took part at the gym session on Saturday morning at the hotel. Then the footballers participated in the training session in the afternoon at the same place.
Earlier, Manager of Bangladesh team Amer Khan and Physiotherapist of the team Fuad Hasan have tested positive for coronavirus for first time at Doha.
Rest of the members of Bangladesh team are doing well.
Topu Barman through a video message said in each room they were given a session yesterday and they completed it by maintaining properly.
Topu hopes that all the test results will come negative and the players will have their training by going to the field from Sunday.
