Qatar Charity launches driving training program for poor students

Qatar Charity has launched a ‘Driving Training Program’ for poor and unemployed students to create employment and to make them financially self-sufficient. 

Initially, a two-month training program has already been started in Dhamrai near the capital Dhaka with some students came from different districts. Trainees are also getting accommodation and meals facilities during the training.

Sohel Alam, Project Director of Qatar Charity’s Bangladesh office, said Qatar Charity has launched the driving training program as part of its Income Generating Project (IGP) so that students can earn without having any job.

He said that at the end of the training program, everyone will get a driving license with the assistance of Qatar Charity.

Qatar Charity works to empower the vulnerable communities economically in Bangladesh through providing income-generating projects like farmland, grocery shops, driving training, etc. In the last 5 years, QC executed 115 IGP projects which benefitted 600 individuals.
