Python caught from human habitation released in Sundarbans

A-20 feet long big sized python caught from Khuriakhali, an adjacent village of Sundarbans within Sharnakhola Forest Range under the Eastern Division in Bagerhat district at Thursday night was released in Sundarbans in Friday morning in presence of the forest officials.
Md. Abdul Mannan, Range Officer of Sharankhola Forest Range (in the Eastern Division of Sundarbans), disclosed that the members of the wild team caught the python from near the dwelling house belonging to one Jamal Gazi of village Khuriakhali (under Sharankhola Upazila in Bagerhat district) and informed the forest officials of the matter.
In the following morning we went to the spot and released it in Sundarbans near Sharankhola Forest Range Office.
It was 20 feet in length and weighing more than 40 kgs.
The Range Officer added, it entered the village after crossing the river Bhola that separates Sundarbans from the human habitations, perhaps, in search of food and took shelter near the dwelling house of Jamal Gazi.
During the last one year more than one hundred pythons including this one were caught from the human habitations and later they were released in Sundarbans.
