Housing and Public Works Minister Engineer Mosharraf Hossain said once upon a time Public Works Directorate (PWD) had played an important role during the PWD’s participation of the country’s sports.
He was speaking as the chief guest during the inauguration ceremony of a PWD annual sports competition held on Saturday at BUET ground here.
He said PWD maintained their respectable positions in first division football quite a long time and he urged all concern to restore the lost pride of PWD by arranging such kind of annual competition.
Later, Secretary of Housing and Public Works Ministry Moinuddin Abdullah handed over the prize among the winners after the competition, said a press release.
