In separate drive of the mobile court led by RAB-7 and the District administration on Sunday , penalty imposed for tk.22 . 25 lakh over two private hospitals, two diagnostic centre and three pharmacies in the city .
A mobile court of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) in the port city in a series of drives fined a private hospital Taka six lakh for not maintaining cleanliness and selling date expired medicines.
Executive magistrate of RAB-7 Mohammad Sarwar Alam along with the officials conducted the drives in city’s Mehedibag area and fined National Hospital.
Sarwar Alam said the hospital was fined for selling date expired medicines and for unhygienic atmosphere of the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). Meanwhile Chittagong District administration mobile court in the series of drives in the port city fined Epic health care , Max Hospital, Popular Diagnostics and three drug shops with tk.16.25 lakh lack of proper maintainance of the hospitals, selling of date expired drugs , uncleanliness in ICU units and 3 drugs shops for operating business without legal drug licenses, sources said.
