“As omicron infection is increasing, the doctors and nurses in private hospitals are being infected in a large number. The view exchange meeting was organised for discussing the preparations of private hospitals in the face of increasing Omicron infection in the country.
Health Minister Zahid Maleque, State Minister for Disaster Management and Relief, Dr. Enamur Rahman, Director General of the Directorate General of Health Services, Professor Dr. Abul Bashar Mohammad Khurshid Alam, and DGHS Director (Hospital) Dr. Farid Uddin Ahmed among others, were connected to the meeting . BPMCA President MA Mobin Khan presided over the programme, while chairmen and directors of different private medical colleges were also connected.
Speakers said that, as the number of physicians and nurses are being infected, private hospitals would face a dire situation in near future if the covid patient number increased largely.

They also sought permission of starting rapid antigen tests for identifying covid infection in private hospitals for fast identifications.
