A three-member probe committee has been formed on Tuesday after side effects of pushing antibiotic injections in bodies of 18 patients at Orthopedics ward of Barishal Sher E Bangla Medical College Hospital (SBMCH).
Dr. Baqir Hossain, director SBMCH, acknowledging the fact, said Dr. Yunus Ahmed, assistant director of the hospital, will led and Dr.Zahid Hossain, assistant register Orthopedics department and Dr. Nurrunnabi Tuhin, medical officer of SBMCH, were members of the three-member probe committee/
The investigation committee asked to submit their report within next seven working days.
Besides all vials of the certain batch of Sefiurixim injection produced by Incepta company has been withdrawn and samples sent to drug administration directorate Dhaka for clinical test.
After receiving laboratory report, final decision would be taken in this regard, director SBMCH said.
