On the occasion of coming Eid, popular film actress Purnima acted in several works. Besides acting in plays and telefilms, Purnima will be also seen to work in six-episode serial titled Ruplai.
Promising director Sakhwat Manik worked with National Film Award winner actress Purnima for the first time. Shooting of the serial took place in the city’s Uttara area last Friday. Purnima played the title role of the serial Rupali.
Ziaul Hasan Kislu, Mili Bashar, Monira Mithu, Fs Nayeem, Nadia Khan, among others young actors, also acted in different roles with Purnima in the Eid serial.
Story of the serial revolves with its central character Rupali. Many activities take place in her residence. Once a person, who earlier took shelter in Purnima’s residence left the house. As a result, members of Purnima’s law’s house annoyed with her in this regard. Story of the serial continues with climax. Shafiqur Rahman Shantunu wrote story of the serial.
While sharing her feeling to work in the serial Purnima told this correspondent, “There is something exceptionality in the story of the serial. After reading its script I decided to work. Therefore, under Sakhawat Manik’s direction I worked for the first time. With Kislu Bhai, Mili Apa, Nadia, Nayeem, among others, we tried to make it a successful venture under a team work. I believe viewers will enjoy the serial.”
Director Manik said, “In fact, as a general viewer, I am fan of Purnima’s acting. She is my dream girl. So, from the beginning of the planning of this serial she was kept in my mind as heroine of my serial. I am really grateful to Purnima Apu to agree to work under my direction in this serial. She was so much cooperative during shooting which I cannot mention in a word now.”
He also informed that the serial Rupali will be aired on ETV from Eid day to next six days.
