From the beginning of her career, popular film actress Purnima has been working with social awareness creating activities as a part of social responsibilities for the people.
Besides acting, Purnima also takes part in different social activities for the country and also for the people. As a part of its continuation, she took part in such type of work. She performed as a model in a TV commercial of ‘Kangaroo Mother’ as the part of Unicef Bangladesh’s social awareness creating programme. Noted TVC-maker Syed Apon Ahsan has made the TVC recently.
For the first time, Purnima performed as model in this type of TVC. For this reason, she felt happy to work in such a TVC.
While talking in this regard Purnima told this correspondent, “Not only in Bangladesh but also around the world many pre-matured babies are born. Basically those persons who are financially well they can treatment the pre-matured baby properly. But who are not solvent for them ‘Kangaroo Mother’ care system is suitable. If the pre-matured babies are brought up with the ‘Kangaroo Mother’ cares system then they can grow up properly which is very much effective for the perspective of Bangladesh. To create awareness among the mothers, I have worked in this TVC also to keep request from Apon Bhai. I am really happy to engage with such a work.”
Purnima also informed that she is now engaged with shooting of Noim Imtiaz Neyamul’s movie Gunchil in Noakhali. She has to stay there for a week. Purnima has already finished shooting of same director’s another movie Jam. Now she is also hosting in different shows in Dhaka and outside the capital. Purnima got the National Film Award for acting in Kazi Hayat’s Ora Amake Bhalo Hotey Dilona.
