Government is constructing 1,064 flats at Mirpur 6 area in the city to meet the residence demand of government officials and employees.
The Cabinet Committee on Government Purchase (CCGP) on Wednesday gave the nod to the procurement proposals for construction of seven buildings under the 1,064 flats construction project.
Finance Minister Abul Maal Abdul Muhith chaired the meeting held at the cabinet division.
“As per approval, Kusoli Nirmata Limited will construct one and ten number buildings with a cost of Taka 71.41 crore and Taka 79.30 crore respectively,” Mustafizur Rahman, Additional Secretary of Cabinet Division told journalists after the meeting.
Jamal and Co and Hasan and Sons Limited will jointly construct number three building with a cost of Taka 71.77 crore while Jamal and Co and Masud and Co will jointly work for number four building with a cost of Taka 71.12 crore, he added. Majid and Sons Construction Limited was awarded the construction work of number five building with a cost of Taka 71.13 crore, he said adding that Jamal and co will construct number six building with a cost of Taka 80.63 crore.
National Development Builders Limited was awarded the construction work of number nine building with a cost of Taka 79.47 crore, he added. Mustafizur Rahman said the committee also approved a variation proposal of construction of 20 storied residential building with 20 storied foundation and single basement (76 unit 3500 sft per unit) including internal sanitary and water supply, internal electrification, fire hydrant and gas connection works for the justice of supreme court with a cost of Taka 143.24 crore.
